Here at Hodder Valley Logs, we’re a one-stop-shop for all your winter fuel needs. Whether you’re looking for a reliable supply of ready-to-burn logs for a wood-burning stove, some clean-burning coal for an open fire or a convenient net bag of logs for an outdoor firepit, we’ve got you covered.

Firewood

Our firewood is kiln-dried and guaranteed to burn clean, providing a consistent source of warmth with minimal residue. We can supply net bags or large bulk bags of oak, birch or a mixture of both.

Our logs are cut to fit the vast majority of wood-burning stoves and open fires, so there’s no need to cut them to size.

And because it’s a premium natural product, you won’t find any soil, sawdust or other fillers in our bulk bags – just 100% clean, dry birch and oak.

Oak

A dense hardwood which burns long and slow, reducing the speed of combustion while delivering consistent over several hours.

Birch

A softer, faster burning wood which is useful for establishing a fire quickly before adding slower-burning fuels such as hard woods or coal.

Mixed Packs

The best of both worlds! Choose a bulk bag containing roughly 50 per cent oak and 50 per cent birch for ease of ignition and long steady burns.

Net bags

Our net bags typically contain between 12 and 20 chunky kiln-
dried logs and are perfect for occasional users.

Traditional Firewood

A mixture of shapes and sizes and varieties, delivered in a convenient net bag for ease of transport and storage. Ideal for open fires or firepits.

Bulk bags

Our cubic metre bags contain enough firewood to keep you warm and toasty for days. Stacking service available for a small additional charge.

Kindling

The foundation of the perfect fire. Our kindling is bone dry for easy ignition and reduces the need for firelighters or other accelerants. Supplied in handy net bags for easy of transport and storage. Simply add on to your regular order so you’ll never run out!

Coal

Our coal comes in 20kg bags of compressed briquettes for consistent combustion. It’s easy to light and leaves very little residue while generating strong, consistent heat with minimal smoke.

Charcoal

We now supply and deliver quality restaurant-grade lumpwood charcoal for barbecues in three bag sizes: 12kg, 10kg and 4.5kg bags. This is FSC-approved quality charcoal from sustainable sources. The small 4.5kg bags will provide sufficient heat for three barbecue sessions – the larger sacks up to eight sessions.

Woodchip bedding

We now stock compressed blocks of fine shavings which make excellent horse bedding.

Easy to transport and store, these tightly wrapped bales are an excellent alternative to more traditional bedding materials and can also be used to supplement hay or straw.

Salt

We can also supply salt for de-icing footpaths, driveways or car parks to prevent slips and falls during icy conditions. Our salt comes in two varieties and two sizes: 10kg and 20kg. Stock up for winter and don’t get caught ut by a big freeze!

Rock Salt

Ideal for treating large spaces in industrial or agricultural environments. Complies with BS 3247 1991.
